A funeral service is a way of saying goodbye to a loved one while also celebrating their life. At D Moodie and Co we are here to help you organise the funeral you want for your loved one, one that represents the person themselves and respects their wishes. Our teams based in Barrhead, Paisley and Neilston will work with you to choose the right ceremony, transport, music and flowers.
Burial or cremation
Whether you choose a burial or a cremation, we’ll be there to make all the arrangements on your behalf. While this can be a difficult decision, particularly if the bereavement is sudden, our advisors will be there to help.

Music
Music often plays an important part in any funeral service. Whether you would prefer traditional hymns or some of your loved one's favourite music, we will arrange this for you. We can organise singers, musicians or organists depending on your choice.
Transport
On the day of the funeral, the hearse will take the coffin to the funeral service. The hearse is usually followed by limousines that carry the chief mourners. We can provide chauffeured limousines to save you worrying about parking, driving and getting to the service on time.
Please let us know if there is a special route you would like the procession to take.
We can discuss this with you when you make the arrangements.
Special requests
You may want to think about other ways of making the funeral reflect the life of the person who has died. We will do our best to arrange anything we can for you. Some people choose horse-drawn hearses, or opt to release doves at the crematorium or grave. We can also advise on local newspaper intimations and licensed service sheets.
Flowers
We have a large range of different floral arrangements and funeral wreaths that we can provide. If you would like us to use a particular type of flower that your loved one preferred, we can arrange this.
We will collect the cards from the funeral wreaths and bouquets and keep them for you. If you would like a longer-lasting reminder of the flowers, we can take a single flower from each wreath and press it as a memento.
If you would prefer to have flowers and funeral wreaths from the family only, and ask for charity donations instead, we can help arrange this.
